We look after your genetic investment
All sires leaving Melior have had their booster 10 in 1 clostridial vaccine and Lepto 3 way vaccine in September. In order to keep these vaccines current, they need to be boosted at the same time each year.
Sires all received a 20g copper bullet in September. Depending on the individual farm, sires may also need a copper boost annually.
Your sires have not been pampered with drench. We like to test the animals resistance whilst they are young to establish if they have the resilience to handle a commercial environment. If they don’t stack up, our stags are killed regardless of their breeding values. Selection pressure will always be paramount to us and we will never compromise.
In saying that, looking after your sire investment will give you longevity. A drench, copper and good feed post rut will pay off in the long run.
While we would love to sell you more stags, seeing you get return on your investment is most important to us.
